Local author and chef, Sarah Rankin, has published her second cookbook ‘Feast’ and its beautiful! Sarah is an advocate for Scottish food and eating with the seasons. There are some signed copies of ‘Feast’ available in the shop – once they are gone, they are gone!
Something for the soul?
Scottish poet, Donna Ashworth’s collection of poetry ‘To the women’ is an uplifting read. She describes her poetry as ‘a hug on a page’ and a ‘glimmer in the grey’.

Philip Pullman’s ‘The Book of Dust volume three: The Rose Field’ is out now. Thirty years since we first met Lyra in this epic fantasy series; the second trilogy is now concluded. Its been a long wait but this final book is over 600 pages long….

You won’t go wrong with any of these. ‘The Malt Whisky Murders’ is a debut novel that has won ‘Scottish Crime Debut of the Year’, Andrew Raymond’s second novel ‘The Shortlist’ is a Richard and Judy book club book (The Bonnie Dead is his first novel) and Heather Critchlow has an addictive fictional series about a true crime podcaster with four books so far and another due next year. ‘Unburied’ is the first in the series.
