About us
Read and Relax is an independent bookshop selling both new and second-hand books for all ages and serves the wonderful Unorthodox Roasters’ coffee which is roasted right here in Kinross.
We run book groups, author events and children's Storytime sessions.
The children's second-hand books are in a separate room with bean bags and cushions so that children can make themselves comfortable whilst they decide which book they would like.
Read and Relax is located in the picturesque town of Kinross which sits on the shores on Loch Leven. Kinross is a thriving small town with a lot to offer - history, sports, beautiful parks and tourist attractions.

In a time where environmental concerns are greater than ever, I felt it was important to offer a good range of second-hand books to save these books from landfill and place less demand for more new copies to be published.
For the love of coffee
Our coffee is supplied by our lovely neighbours Unorthodox Roasters, who provide ethically sourced single origin speciality coffee. We also serve tea and juices.
